Blueberry Funded is one of the newest prop firms, which only started operation in 2024. The thing that makes it stand out is its relationship with Blueberry Markets, a well-known and reputable broker. Hence, despite its extremely limited track record, it leverages the status of being founded by the same parent company as its far-famous broker sibling. As veteran traders at WR Trading, we independently reviewed, tested, and scrutinized Blueberry Funded’s advantages and disadvantages as a prop firm to evaluate if it is truly one of the promising “newish” prop firms worthy of your money, or if it is simply a lackluster offering from an established broker?

Our goal is simple: to help you objectively decide whether Blueberry Funded is the right prop firm for you or if it is much better to look elsewhere. We do this by providing you with our honest and unbiased take on the prop firm’s key features and offerings and contrasting them to current industry standards.

Blueberry Funded Experience Summary from Our Expert:

Andre Witzel Potrait
Andre Witzel
Trader & Editor-in-Chief
Overall, my verdict for Blueberry Funded is 4.2/5 stars. For the positives: I like that it is established by the same parent company behind Blueberry Markets, which has a solid and proven reputation among traders. Hence, this gives us confidence that it is, in fact, a legit prop firm and not simply a scam (if it is established by some unknown company with no track record). I also like its frequent promo and discount offers, which typically range from 10-30%, providing significant savings. Its paid option for a regular 7-day payout is also a great benefit, particularly for professional traders with a proven strategy. Finally, although it is still a relatively new prop firm, it already offers a scaling option of up to $2 million, which matches some of the highest scaling plans in the industry.
On the other hand, for the negatives: It is not available to US clients and has a concerning short track record of just a year. I particularly dislike that it has extremely limited educational resources, which I think is a missed opportunity, considering it can leverage the educational resources already available on Blueberry Markets (which is the “Knowledge Hub”). This makes it less beginner-friendly, especially considering it also does not offer a free trial. In addition, while it has a remarkable scaling option and up to a 90% profit share split, this is not available to its instant funding accounts. Finally, its customer support is relatively slow and leaves a lot to be desired.

What is Blueberry Funded?

Blueberry Funded is a brand-new prop firm that was established in August 2024. It is owned and operated by Bluberry Markets LLC, which is known for its brokerage brand, “Blueberry Markets,” and is registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. This makes Blueberry Funded inherently broker-backed. That said, as a prop firm, it does not and cannot offer actual buying and selling of real securities in the live market. Instead, everything is done entirely in a demo environment (leveraging Blueberry Markets’ infrastructure) that merely simulates real-world trading conditions and market movement.

Blueberry Funded Prop Trading Firm
Blueberry Funded Prop Trading Firm

Blueberry Funded supports 4 modern trading platforms, namely:

  • MetaTrader 5
  • MetaTrader 4
  • TradeLocker
  • DXtrade

Its business model centers on offering 3 distinct account models: 1-step model (Step 1 and Rapid), 2-step model (Step 2, Prime – 2 Step, and Synthetic), and Instant Funding model (Instant Elite and Instant Lite), which allows users to skip the assessment phase. All in all, it offers a total of 7 account variations (it does not have a 3-step challenge model). Its scaling plan (of up to $2M and 90% profit share split) is also restricted to its 1-step and 2-step accounts and is not available at all to its instant funding accounts.

Is Blueberry Funded legal?

Yes, Blueberry Funded operates legally as a proprietary trading firm. Note that all of its funded accounts, the trading environment, and all profits and losses you make are simulated and do not actually occur in a real market. While it is broker-backed by Blueberry Markets (which has an established reputation), it is not a broker itself. Hence, traditional investor protections do not apply, and again, you do not actually buy and sell real financial assets, so the securities rules and regulations do not apply as well.

Restricted Countries and Territories

In addition, it also explicitly does not support users (including US clients) residing in one of its restricted countries, namely: US, Australia, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, Syria, UAE, Yemen, Afghanistan.

Hence, if you reside in one of the mentioned countries here, then we highly advise you not to risk opening an account with Blueberry Funded at all and instead look for an alternative prop firm that explicitly supports your country. This is because the prop firm can legally close your account at any time without notice and without issuing a refund.

Is Blueberry Funded secure to use?

Yes, Blueberry Funded is safe and secure to use. This is due to its own safety and security measures, such as its payouts requiring a KYC, with 2-factor authentication and a signed funded-trader contract, which is standard for trusted, modern prop firms, and ensures no bad actor can withdraw your earnings on your behalf.

In addition, all payments are processed through recognized processors, and card purchases are subject to a clear refund policy (14 days, no questions asked), which helps identify and prevent scam/fail patterns commonly seen elsewhere. Lastly, your profits can be routed directly to a personal account at its partner broker, Blueberry Markets (assuming you have a broker account), via Broker Payouts, leveraging its infrastructure. This is an overall great and transparent setup for a prop firm.

That said, the prop firm does not accept users from its restricted countries list (as listed in the above section). Hence, if you currently reside in one of these restricted countries, it is, in fact, not safe and secure to purchase a challenge or instant funding account with Blueberry Funding, as the prop firm explicitly prohibits access from these countries and can therefore legally close your account at any time without notice and without issuing a refund. In this case, we highly advise that you look for a different prop firm that allows access to your country of residence.

The Challenge and Costs of Blueberry Funded Explained

Blueberry Funded has 3 primary account models based on the challenge type. First, its 1-step account model, which requires 1 evaluation phase before moving you to a funded account. Second, its 2-step account model, which requires you to pass 2 evaluation phases to get funded. Third, it has an instant funding account model, which lets you skip the evaluation phase altogether and gives you a funded account from the get-go. Note that this convenience comes with a premium/higher fee (as shown in the table below).

Blueberry Funded Challenges
Blueberry Funded Challenges

In total, Blueberry has 7 different account types, namely “Step 1” and “Rapid” (its 1-step challenge models), “Step 2,” “Prime – 2 Step,” and “Synthetic” (its 2-step challenge models), and “Instant Elite” and “Instant Lite” (its Instant Funding models).

In order to help you quickly compare Blueberry’s funded various account types, we lay out here a quick breakdown showing each of its account types’ cost, available balance, and the key trading rules (profit target, daily, and max drawdown rules) to help you identify which is the best fit for you:

Promo Codes for Rebates

Blueberry Funded does offer discounts and promo codes. As of now, the homepage banner advertises a 15% discount by using the code BERRY15, and there’s also a pop-up inviting sign-ups that advertises 30% off. During our testing period, we found out that the firm regularly runs limited-time codes in the 10–30% range on-site, with occasional bigger seasonal pushes.

If you want the best price, we recommend you checking 3 places before buying: the homepage banner (which usually has a running promotion), the Help Center, specifically its Discounts & Promo Codes article, which it regularly updates, and Blueberry Funded’s X (Twitter) feed.

How difficult is it to pass the challenge on Blueberry Funded?

In general, the difficulty depends on the type of challenge you choose and your level of experience as a trader. To help you with this, here is a simple breakdown of Blueberry Funded’s 3 main account types and who will likely find it easier, and those who may struggle:

  • Standard (1-Step): This includes the Step 1 and Rapid accounts. In this challenge type, intermediate to advanced traders with a trading edge will find this relatively easier. In contrast, beginner traders and those without disciplined risk control may be more likely to breach the tight drawdown.
  • Standard (2-Step): This includes the Step 2, Prime – 2 Step, and Synthetic accounts. In this challenge type, more experienced and systematic traders with consistent trade expectancy will find this much easier. On the other hand, traders who routinely hop to different strategies and change trade systems mid-evaluation will most likely see inconsistent (and potentially, unfavorable) results.
  • Instant Funding: This includes Instant Elite and Instant Lite. Due to its nature, professional retail traders who have a proven edge and strong risk management and discipline will find this advantageous and much easier. However, beginner traders who have no consistent trade plan and system will most likely be at risk of immediately breaching their account, as they may heavily focus and be blinded by the fast payout potential.

What happens if you fail on Blueberry Funded?

When you breach your Blueberry Funded account,  you need to buy a new account and start over if you want to continue using the prop firm. This is because, unlike other prop firms, there is no option for a paid reset in order to get back your breached account when you violate a rule or simply fail a challenge (or lose your funded account). Hence, your only option is either to buy a new challenge or go to a different prop firm altogether.

Is Blueberry Funded suitable for beginner traders?

Yes, Blueberry Funded is generally suitable for beginners with at least some experience in prop firm trading. We do not recommend it to absolute beginners as a starting point, since, unlike many other prop firms (including established names), it does not offer a free trial that total beginners could have used to get a general exposure to prop firm trading as well as Blueberry Funded’s unique features, user interface (UI), and offerings.

Blueberry Funded - Steps to get started
Blueberry Funded – Steps to get started

Nevertheless, we still think it is a relatively good option for many beginners due to its relatively low cost account options when we factor in the available discount and promo codes (from 10% to 30%) it routinely offers. This makes its accounts relatively affordable for beginners who are on a budget and looking for a cheap yet safe and legit (and not a scam) prop firm to start.

Can Blueberry Funded be used by Serious Traders?

Yes. Blueberry Funded can be used by serious traders (particularly intermediate to professional). It’s broker-backed, legit, and safe and secure, and offers a payout share split scaling plan. It also has multiple modern platforms (MT4, MT5, DXtrade, TradeLocker) and fast payout processing. Costs are relatively cheap (especially when a promo or discount code is active).

To be more specific, here are the notable advantages for the following types of serious traders:

  • For Intermediate Traders: The simple plan choices, clear rules, and low cost entry when using a promo or discount code make it great for building discipline. The support for weekend positions, $100 minimum payout (for most of its accounts), and mainstream platforms keep the learning curve manageable.
  • For Advanced Traders: EAs are allowed (within fair-use limits it sets), there’s a comprehensive instrument coverage (FX, indices, metals, crypto, synthetics), and its payment rails are trusted with multiple withdrawal routes, and typically only 1–2 business day processing.
  • For Professional/Systematic Traders: Evaluated accounts can scale balance and profit share split (up to $2M and 90% split), with multi-platform support and broker-linked payout options. Blueberry Funded’s risk rules is also not as tight compared to other prop firms and are more transparent, allowing you to integrate these specific rules into your system.

Does Blueberry Funded really pay out profits?

Yes, based on our own testing, Blueberry Funded is overall legit and not a scam, and, in fact, pays you your profit share split on your funded account as long as you meet its payout conditions (which we outlined above). We also verified its payout consistency through community feedback from various sources (including Trustpilot), and most of its users with funded accounts have confirmed that they successfully received their payout share. Additionally, its reputation was bolstered by its close association with Blueberry Markets, a well-established and trusted broker.

Are there complaints about Blueberry Funded?

Yes, upon doing our due diligence, we found various complaints and negative feedback on popular community platform Reddit, as well as numerous low-star ratings on Trustpilot. Many of these negative feedback point to its slow customer support and often not being able to resolve the issues and problems the users bring up. As you can imagine, this increases frustration on Blueberry Funded as it cannot provide a certain level of confidence that it will be able to help its users. In addition, many frustrated users call it a “scam” due to its stringent payout policy; one user even exclaimed, “They will find every way to not pay you.”

Which trading platforms are available on Blueberry Funded?

Blueberry Funded Trading Platforms
Blueberry Funded Trading Platforms

Blueberry Funded offers and supports the following 4 modern trading platforms:

  • MetaTrader 5: An extremely well-known platform with fast onboarding and built-in copier tools, highly suited for discretionary (manual) trading, but not as optimal for automated trading compared to other platforms.
  • MetaTrader 4: The classic and well-loved MetaQuotes platform with a huge library of indicators and EAs, very light on system resources, and excellent for discretionary or traditional EA-based strategies. However, it lacks some of MT5’s newer features and depth in asset classes.
  • DXtrade: A modern, multi-asset platform with a clean web and desktop user interface and strong, comprehensive risk controls. Overall, great for discretionary trading, and algorithmic workflows are possible via APIs and integrations.
  • TradeLocker: A TradingView-powered platform known for its intuitive charts and quick order entry. This is also great for discretionary trading, but comes with limited algorithmic trading functionality.

Which broker is used by Blueberry Funded?

Blueberry Funded is directly backed by an established and modern broker, Blueberry Markets. This means Blueberry Funded utilizes Blueberry Markets’ infrastructure, pricing, and rails. In other words, the prop firm leverages the existing technology and operational expertise of its partner broker. Due to this, they are highly integrated that you can even route your payouts directly to a Blueberry Markets account (if you happen to have a broker account with them) via “Broker Payouts.”

Having said this, this does not mean that the prop firm uses the broker’s platform to let you buy and sell in an actual exchange. As a matter of fact, you still trade on a virtual/simulated trading environment, and your funds, assets, and any profits and losses are fictitious.

Taxes on Blueberry Funded

Funded users/traders are the ones fully responsible for paying taxes on any and all of their profits made on Blueberry Funded’s platforms. Note that any payouts you receive from prop firms are commonly treated as ordinary business income and not capital gains (which would be the default classification if you are directly trading/investing using your own money).

The rationale behind this is due to the fact that, rather than realizing gains on actual financial assets (if you actually buy and sell them), you instead trade in a demo trading environment with Blueberry Funded, and the funds, assets, and earnings/losses you see are completely simulated. Having said this, we still highly recommend that you seek help from a local tax professional in order to ensure that you follow the specific local tax rules in your country of residence.

Which support and education is provided by Blueberry Funded?

Here are all the official support channels of Blueberry Funded:

  • Email: support@blueberryfunded.com. This is Blueberry Funded’s primary and official support channel. It is also advisable to use this if your problem or issue is unique and highly personal that you may want to disclose it through their live chat functionality. Blueberry Funded aims to respond within 2-4 hours.
  • Community Channels (for general information and updates):

Note that these community channels are not ideal for any unique and sensitive concerns/issues.

No Education Hub

Blueberry Funded does not have a dedicated educational resource/hub, unlike other prop firms that have modern and comprehensive educational resource hubs, which makes these a great place to start for total beginners to learn from.

In fact, Blueberry Funded’s educational materials are segmented, lacking, and simply all over the place. Disappointingly, its blog only has 2 published content/tutorial as of writing this review. This is a sharp contrast to many other prop firms who regularly publish blogs and are more coherent and cohesive with their approach. That said, here are the direct links to its educational/informational resources (Blog, Help Center, and official YouTube channel):

What are the best alternatives to Blueberry Funded?

Based on our independent testing as well as their proven track record, these prop firms are 100% legit and not a scam. The following are four of the trusted, modern, and high-paying prop firms that we highly recommend as a great alternative to Blueberry Funded:

  • FundedNext: A highly acclaimed modern prop firm with up to 95% profit share split, account sizes up to $300k, and bi-weekly/monthly payouts. Some of FundedNext’s account models also have bonuses during the evaluation phase and guarantee a 24-hour payout process on your funded account.
  • FundingPips: A prop firm with a proven track record and a simple 2-step evaluation with a profit share split ranging from 80% to 100%. In addition, it has a high-ceiling scaling plan of up to $2M, making it highly attractive for experienced and advanced traders who value reliability and the highest potential ROI for their trading edge.
  • Apex Funded Trader: A prop firm with a profit share split of up to 100% for your first $25k, then 90% on the following cycles. It also offers a regular payout every 8 trading days and features a unique breach safety net that locks your drawdown once you reach the threshold you set, preventing you from prematurely breaching your account and failing the assessment phase.
  • The Trading Pit: A reputable prop firm with regulated-broker partnerships (unlike other prop firms that operate solely on their own). Notably, it also offers a scaling plan of up to €5 million and has native support for major platforms, namely: NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, ATAS, Quantower, and R/Trader.

For more comparisons, our free Prop Firm Compare Tool can be used.

Conclusion

Considering everything, we think it is best for you to shortlist Blueberry Funded if you are specifically looking for a broker-backed prop firm. From our comprehensive testing and review, we did not identify anything that really stood out to us as a major advantage since most of the benefits and value proposition it offers are already present and available with major prop firms in the industry. For instance, its potential high-paying profit share split of up to 90% and scaling plan of up to $2M, while impressive considering it is a brand new prop firm, is already present (and even standard) with mainstream prop firms that have a considerable track record.

As a new prop firm, we really think that it would have stood out more if it had focused on having an industry-leading educational resource (particularly since it can literally leverage existing resources from Blueberry Markets) and offered a generous free trial (of at least 14 days). Instead, both these areas are severely lacking, not to mention their lackluster customer support. That said, since it has only operated for a year, it can still implement much-needed improvements and innovations, especially considering that it has access to Blueberry Markets’ infrastructure. Hence, we look forward to potentially improving our rating once we see significant improvements.
