The Funded Trader is a good option if you’re looking to get funded without too much hassle (see what I did there HAHA). Their evaluation process is fair, and I like that they give you decent leverage and a variety of accounts to choose from. Plus, payouts have been smooth for me, which is a big plus. That said, their platform really needs some work. It’s clunky and not as user-friendly as I’d hoped. The layout is confusing, and it took me a while to get used to it. Sometimes the platform lags, especially during high-volume trading periods, which can be frustrating. I also noticed some bugs here and there, like random logouts and issues with placing orders.

5/5. Recommended to any new traders. They've got everything you could possibly want. Support answers quickly and their platform is intuitive and relatively easy to use. Although I took some time trying to understand the settings, everything else was smooth!

Pretty sure anyone researching this can find a lot of information about this online. None of your trades actually reached the real market and payouts are from failed challenges. Traders are given long periods/ indefinite amounts of time to do their challenges and are reliant on themselves to be profitable and consistent. There are still cases where people don't get their accounts back or are owed money and are still waiting for their payouts.

Passing phase 1 is usually easy, nothing much out of the ordinary but I've noticed that the slippage is borderline ridiculous. I know they take money from challenge fees but the pricing models and slippage makes it hard to get anything done well. Every trade seems to be a few points below or above what the interface shows. Tools wise they have sufficient but would really suggest anyone who is looking to trade with this firm to get their due diligence done

Didn't like their platform personally but they are one of the biggest platforms that has been popular with people. They were doing forex and there have been issues from traders having their accounts shut down out of nowhere. Support replies quickly but has been pretty bad at giving actual support like telling us what rules we broke that resulted in accounts getting termianted.

The Challenge and Costs on The Funded Trader Explained

The Funded Trader operates on a challenge-based funding model, where traders must prove their trading skills and discipline before receiving access to live trading capital. Here’s a breakdown of how the challenge works and the associated costs:

The Challenge Process

  • Registration: Traders start by registering for the challenge and selecting their preferred account type. Each account type has different initial balances, profit splits, and drawdown limits.
  • Challenge Phase: During this phase, traders must meet specific profit targets while adhering to the rules regarding maximum drawdowns and minimum trading days. This phase tests the trader’s ability to manage risk and generate consistent profits.
  • Evaluation: Once the challenge phase is successfully completed, the trader’s performance is evaluated. If they meet all the criteria, they progress to the verification phase, where their trading consistency is further assessed.
  • Verification Phase: Similar to the challenge phase, but often with a lower profit target, this phase ensures that the trader’s performance wasn’t a fluke and that they can trade profitably over time.
  • Funding: Upon successfully completing both the challenge and verification phases, traders are awarded a funded account. They can then start trading with real capital, keeping a significant percentage of the profits while the firm takes a small portion as a fee.

Our review found that it provides a seamless trading experience with advanced charting tools, customizable interfaces, and efficient order execution. The platform’s user-friendly design makes it simple to navigate. cTrader, available through Voyage Markets, is another powerful trading platform restricted to clients outside the United States. In our evaluation, cTrader stood out for its sophisticated trading tools, including algorithmic trading capabilities and detailed market analysis features. DXtrade, also provided by Voyage Markets, is designed to offer a flexible and intuitive trading environment. During our review, we found DXtrade to be highly customizable, allowing traders to tailor the platform to their specific needs. It supports a wide range of trading instruments and offers efficient order management and execution. While it shares the same restriction as the other platforms – being unavailable to US clients – DXtrade is an excellent option for traders looking for a versatile and user-friendly trading platform outside the U.S.
